Terms of Service

Effective date: 1 May 2025

By using Quell — including the CLI tool, the web dashboard, and the API — you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1.The service

Quell provides a Python CLI tool ("quelltest") and a web dashboard for test generation, coverage analysis, and Production Readiness Score tracking. The CLI is open-source under the MIT licence. The dashboard and API are commercial services.

2.Your account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your account credentials and API keys secure
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us immediately at bindalshashank.89@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3.Acceptable use

You may not use Quell to:

  • Attempt to bypass plan limits or rate limits programmatically
  • Reverse-engineer or extract proprietary components of the backend API
  • Scrape or harvest data from the dashboard or API at scale
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Infringe on the intellectual property rights of others

The CLI tool is MIT-licensed and may be used, modified, and distributed freely within the terms of that licence.

4.Plans and billing

Quell offers Hobby (free), Pro, and Team plans. Plan limits are described on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed monthly via Razorpay.

You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer partial-month refunds except where required by applicable law.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. We will notify you by email before any price change affects your subscription.

5.Intellectual property

The Quell CLI tool is open-source under the MIT licence. You retain all rights to your source code. Tests generated by Quell and written to your repository are your property.

The Quell dashboard, API, and website are proprietary. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute them without written permission.

6.Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use your data. By using Quell, you agree to the Privacy Policy.

7.Disclaimers

Quell is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for accuracy, generated tests may contain bugs or false assumptions. You are responsible for reviewing generated tests before committing them to your codebase.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Quell's total liability for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₹500 (INR) / $10 (USD), whichever is greater.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

9.Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Rajasthan, India.

10.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be communicated by email with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use of Quell after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
