Privacy Policy

Quell ("we", "us", "our") is a developer tool for Python test generation, operated by Shashank Bindal. Our website is quelltest.com and our support contact is bindalshashank.89@gmail.com.

Account data — when you register for the Quell dashboard, we collect your email address, name, and (if you use Google OAuth) your Google profile information. We do not store passwords in plaintext; we use Google OAuth or bcrypt-hashed credentials.

Usage data — we record the number of analyses you run each day to enforce plan limits and display your usage dashboard. We do not record your source code, test files, or the requirements Quell finds.

API keys — API keys you create are stored as hashed values. We never store or log plaintext keys after the initial creation response.

Billing data — payment processing is handled by Razorpay. We store your plan tier and payment confirmation identifiers. We do not store card numbers or bank details.

Analytics — we use Vercel Analytics (privacy-friendly, no cookies) to understand aggregate page views. No personal data is included in these measurements.

• Your Python source code or test files — the CLI runs locally
• Contents of docstrings, type annotations, or models — these never leave your machine unless you opt into an LLM provider
• LLM provider API keys — stored in your OS keyring by the CLI, never sent to our servers
• Browser fingerprinting or cross-site tracking

• To provide and operate the dashboard, API key management, and usage tracking
• To enforce plan limits and process billing events
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset) — no marketing emails without explicit consent
• To detect and prevent abuse of the API

We do not sell your data. We share minimal data with these processors:

• Render — backend hosting
• Vercel — frontend hosting and analytics
• Razorpay — payment processing (India)
• Google — OAuth only, if you use Sign in with Google

Account and usage data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing bindalshashank.89@gmail.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
• Export your data in a machine-readable format
• Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent)

The Quell website uses no tracking or advertising cookies. We use a single session-management cookie for authenticated dashboard sessions. Vercel Analytics is cookieless.

Data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. API keys are stored as hashed values. For our full security policy see /security.

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be announced via email to registered users and reflected in the effective date above.
